Wike Says He Can Make Another Ikwerre Governor If He Wants —Sara-Igbe Sounds Alarm
According to NewsVista Reporter, elder statesman Sara-Igbe has raised serious concerns about Rivers State’s political crisis, warning Governor Siminalayi Fubara of plans by his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, to control the state leadership. Sara-Igbe quoted Wike as saying, “If I want an Ikwerre man to be governor again, I will do it.”
Speaking on SYMFONI TV, Sara-Igbe condemned the ongoing impeachment threats against the governor and his deputy as baseless political moves designed to create chaos and possibly let the House Speaker take over.
He lamented how the political struggle is stalling key projects and warned that the people of Rivers will reject any leadership change through backdoor tactics.
Sara-Igbe urged the governor to use his constitutional powers decisively to defend his mandate and called out political godfathers for pushing selfish agendas.
