Let’s remove Tinubu, best thing Nigerians can do - Rotimi Amaechi

Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has called on Nigerians to vote President Bola Tinubu out of office, saying it is the best thing they can do for the country.

Amaechi made the remark in a video that surfaced online, where he also urged voters not to accept cash inducements during elections.

“If nothing else, let’s at least remove Tinubu and have our rest. That’s the best you can do. And that’s what I’ve come to do,” he said.

He alleged that politicians would resort to vote-buying instead of addressing the needs of the people.

“They, if they bring rice… You know, I tell people I said, the Igbos are not hungry, are you hungry? No. We can never be hungry. So, they will not bring rice. Unfortunately, they will not bring rice,” Amaechi said.

“They will bring all these 2,000, 10,000, 20,000. And those who bring it are your people who come to Abuja here to enjoy the, the benefits of the votes you bring.”

Amaechi urged Nigerians to reject monetary inducements and vote according to their conscience.
