UK-Based Nigerian woman breaks down in tears over job crisis, regrets her nationality


A Nigerian woman living in the United Kingdom has gone viral after sharing an emotional video in which she broke down in tears while speaking about her struggles as an immigrant.


The woman explained that she moved from South Africa to the UK four years ago in search of a better life and has worked tirelessly since then, taking on various jobs, including cleaning and caregiving roles, to support herself and build stability.


According to her, she recently received devastating news that her employer had lost its Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS), putting her job and immigration status in jeopardy.


Expressing frustration and exhaustion, she recounted the sacrifices she has made over the years, stressing that she has consistently paid her bills and worked hard to remain self-sufficient.


Despite trying to stay strong and encourage colleagues facing similar challenges, she admitted that the uncertainty surrounding her future has become overwhelming.


The woman also voiced fears about her options if she is unable to remain in the UK, saying she feels caught between returning to South Africa, where she believes Nigerians face hostility, and returning to Nigeria, where she is concerned about insecurity and economic hardship.
