“I Use This Opportunity Today, To Announce That I Have Forgiven Everybody-Wike
According to a report by Nigerian Tribune on Sunday, May 31, 2026, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced plans for a 31-day project commissioning exercise across Abuja as part of activities marking the third anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The minister said the programme would showcase a series of completed infrastructure and development projects executed within the Federal Capital Territory, highlighting the administration’s efforts to improve public facilities and urban infrastructure in the nation’s capital.
Wike made the announcement while speaking at a political luncheon in Port Harcourt, where he reviewed some of the projects undertaken under his leadership in the FCT.
According to him, the extensive commissioning programme is designed to demonstrate the progress recorded in Abuja and the impact of the Federal Government’s development agenda.
He attributed the pace of infrastructure delivery in the territory to the support, vision, and leadership provided by President Tinubu.
The minister explained that the month-long commissioning exercise would feature several major projects, including road networks, public utilities, and urban renewal initiatives.
He stated that the projects were aimed at improving transportation, enhancing access to public services, and supporting the overall transformation of Abuja.
According to him, the development initiatives are part of broader efforts to modernise the capital city and improve the quality of life for residents.
Speaking further, Wike dismissed criticisms surrounding the administration’s performance in the FCT and maintained that the completed projects speak for themselves.
He challenged critics to compare the scale and quality of the ongoing developments with previous efforts, insisting that the current administration has delivered tangible results across different sectors.
The minister emphasized that the achievements are visible in various parts of Abuja and are evidence of deliberate planning and implementation.
He said, “I use this opportunity today, to announce that I have forgiven everybody.”
