75-Year-Old Grandpa Falls Into NDLEA Net Over Alleged Dr¥g Trafficking in Ebonyi
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 75-year-old man, Okebe Samuel, over alleged involvement in dr¥g trafficking activities in Ebonyi State.
The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed the arrest in a statement issued on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Abuja.
According to Babafemi, NDLEA operatives apprehended the elderly suspect in the Okposi community during an operation targeting ill+cit drug activities.
He stated that Samuel was found with 300 grammes of sk¥nk, a potent strain of cann@bis, which had reportedly been packaged into small retail sachets for sale and distribution, particularly to young people in the area.
