Jilted Lover Allegedly Sets Girlfriend’s Family House Ablaze, K+lls 3 in Ghana
A community in the Western North Region of Ghana, has been left in mourning after a young man allegedly set f+re to the home of his girlfriend’s family, resulting in the d+ath of three people.
The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Prince, a palm wine tapper popularly known as “On God,” has been arrested by police following the incident.
The victims have been identified as 19-year-old Benedicta Kudjo, her 61-year-old mother, Maame Mary Oppong, and 22-year-old Dora Adoma Kudjo. Their d+aths have thrown relatives and residents of the community into deep grief.
According to a relative of the victims, Madam Paulina, the suspect had earlier visited the family’s home looking for his girlfriend, Benedicta Kudjo Felicia, who is a student of Queen Senior High School.
She explained that the family had previously warned the young man to stay away because Felicia was still in school and they did not support the relationship. Despite this, he reportedly insisted that he loved her and wanted to marry her.
The situation is said to have become tense during an earlier confrontation when the suspect allegedly issued thr+ats.
Hours later, the family reportedly received a distressing call that their house had been set on f+re, leading to the tragic loss of three lives.
