Chidi Odinkalu Reacts As Prominent Member Of City Boy Movement Was Abandoned By His Workers

In response to a member of the city boy movement being abandoned by his workers in Imo State, renowned human rights campaigner and former chairman of the national human rights commission, Chidi Odinkalu, turned to his official X handle. In the tweets posted on his official X account, he described what happened between him and the employees.

The news of how a well-known member of the ‘city boys movement’ from Orsu in Imo State was deserted by his own community went viral on several social media channels, leaving many in shock.

It should be remembered that the city boy movement was a group of affluent young entrepreneurs who volunteered to campaign for President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Obinna Iyiegbu, often known as Obi Cubana, and Pascal Okechukwu Chibuike, sometimes known as Cubana Chief Priest, were among the prominent members of the organization.

In a recent statement that was posted on his official X handle, Chidi Odinkalu, a well-known human rights campaigner and former head of the national human rights commission, responded by sharing the obstacles the organization has encountered while employing a sarcastic tone.

He claimed that one of the group’s members called employees to his construction site in Orsu LGA of Imo State and encouraged them to join the city boy movement, as stated by him.

But much to his utmost surprise, as the laborers left his construction site, clearly unhappy with his association with the city boy movement, he was left behind.
