FCT: Wike upgrades Kwali monarch to First Class chief

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has upgraded the traditional ruler of Kwali, Etsu Kwali, His Royal Highness, Luka Ayedoo Nizassan III, to a First Class chief.

Wike made this announcement on Monday, during his thank-you visit to Kwali Area Council.

The promise I made, consider it done. Your traditional leader told me before now that you are going to support President Bola Tinubu come 2027 and I have seen it.

“By the power conferred on me and the FCT Minister, I hereby upgrade his stool to First Class stool,” Wike said.

Orange reports that the Etsu Kwali is serving as a prominent traditional ruler and Chairman of the Council of Chiefs for the Kwali Area Council in the FCT.

Nizassan III, who took office following the passing of the former ruler, is said to be recognized for his commitment to promoting peace, unity, and cultural heritage, particularly among the Gbagyi people.
