Bala Mohammed, Seyi Makinde Absent As Nyesom Wike Leads PDP BoT Meeting in Abuja [Photos]


The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday participated in the 86th meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held in Abuja.


According to a media post by the minister’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, the meeting brought together elders and key stakeholders of the party to deliberate on pressing issues affecting the PDP and its future direction.


Notably absent from the meeting were the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, and the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, both prominent leaders within the party.


In his welcome address, the Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, Mao Ohuabunwa, said the gathering came at a defining moment in the life of the party and called on members to approach deliberations with wisdom, calm reflection, and a strong commitment to unity.


He also highlighted the successful conduct of ward and local government congresses across the country and expressed optimism that the forthcoming state congresses and the party’s National Convention scheduled for March 29 and 30 would further strengthen the PDP’s internal structures and democratic processes nationwide.
