Seun I Object,My Colleagues Called Me Miji Wike, Not Wike’s Wife; I Can’t Be Wike’s Husband-Kingibe (Video)

 

Senator Ireti Kingibe reacted strongly during an interview on Channels Television after the host, Seun Okinbaloye, said he heard her colleagues call her the wife of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

When the host made the statement, Kingibe immediately objected and said her colleagues did not call her Wike’s wife. She said they addressed her as “miji Wike” and “miji” in Hausa means husband. She said since Wike is a man, she cannot be his husband and so she does not want to be addressed that way again

In Kingibe’s words: “Seun I object. They did not call me the wife, they called me miji Wike, that does not mean a wife. Whatever it is, since Wike is a man and I cannot be his husband, I don’t want to hear that please. I will like to be his good friend except that he is so lawless”
