Peter Obi dey buy groundnut-Lere Olayinka Reacts As Dino Melaye Claims ADC Is Winning The Election

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday February 22, 2026, Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has ridiculed the campaign approach of the newly formed political coalition involving Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, and Dino Melaye.

Responding to Senator Dino Melaye’s tweet claiming the African Democratic Congress (ADC) was winning in most polling units, Olayinka dismissed the coalition’s grassroots engagement efforts with sarcasm.

Pitobi dey buy groundnut. Amaechi dey buy agbado. Dino Melaye dey climb trees. Na so dem Kolision Konfusion wan take win elections.” Olayinka stated.

The aide’s mockery appears to reference public appearances by the coalition leaders engaging in market visits and other grassroots activities, which he characterized as ineffective campaign strategies.

Olayinka’s use of the phrase “Coalition Confusion” rather than the coalition’s actual name suggests his view that the alliance lacks coherence and strategic direction.

His comments reflect the dismissive attitude many ruling party officials have adopted toward the opposition coalition, suggesting they do not view it as a serious electoral threat despite claims of polling unit victories.
