NASS:Somebody Said He Brought His Son To Treat Protesters Who Slump,His Son Had No Medical Tool-Wike

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has reacted to a statement made by former Governor Rotimi Amaechi during the February 10, 2026 Occupy the National Assembly (OccupyNASS) protest. At the event, Amaechi openly said he came with his son, who is a doctor, so that he could attend to anyone who collapsed or got injured

While reacting to Amaechi’s statement in a video shared by Channels Television, Wike said Amaechi’s son did not have any medical equipment with him at the protest ground. He added that there was also no ambulance present with Amaechi or his son to handle any medical emergency in case a protester slumped or required urgent treatment,

In Wike’s words: “Somebody said ‘I brought my son here, he is a doctor, in case anybody falls down,’ meanwhile the child has no medical equipment with him. Meanwhile there is no ambulance there with him in case anybody slumps”
