I’ll Soon Clock 100 Years; I’m Begging Our Leaders to Free Nnamdi Kanu, So I Can See Him-Oparocha

In a video shared by News Central TV, Sarah Oparocha, a nearly 100-year-old woman from Nigeria’s Igbo community, made an emotional appeal to national leaders over the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu.

Speaking in the clip, the nonagenarian said her advanced age has made her increasingly concerned about whether she will live long enough to see Kanu regain his freedom. She explained that his situation weighs heavily on her heart and has become a regular part of her daily prayers.

According to her, “I will soon clock 100 years. I weep every morning during my prayers because of Nnamdi Kanu. I’m begging the leaders of Nigeria to free Nnamdi Kanu so that I can see him now because one can’t say what tomorrow holds for us. This is my request from them, and if they do it, my mind will be at rest.”

Oparocha stated that her request is driven by a personal desire for peace of mind in her final years. She emphasized that at her age, the uncertainty of tomorrow makes it important for her to witness what she hopes will be a positive resolution.
