AMAC: It’s Like Atiku And Peter Obi’s ADC Isn’t Winning Anything In This Elections - Lere Olayinka

Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike recently reacted after the first batch of results for AMAC elections were made public. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the ADC will not be victorious.

The recently concluded Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), elections held across various locations in the federal capital territory on Saturday February 21st, 2026 was marked with a series of memorable moments.

However, while many believed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) stood a better chance of clinching victory, early results that surfaced online told a different story.

Reacting, Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the FCT minister and former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, mocked the ADC coalition.

According to his statements, he pointed out that the ADC was not going to win, as a result of the massive support given to the APC during the polls.

The early results that surfaced online showed that the ADC won the first few declared polling units, however, as at the time of reporting, the APC overtook other political parties unexpectedly.

Lere Olayinka, widely known for his outspokenness and bold remarks, dragged ADC Chieftains, Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi into the conversation, pointing out that they will not be victorious.

“It’s like Atiku and Peter Obi’s ADC isn’t winning anything in this FCT area council elections.” He said.
