Wike: He Got Bigger Fish To Fry Now, Fubara Is On His Neck, I Think That Should Consume Him -Wale Fatade
Public Affairs Analyst Wale Fatade commented that Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is currently too absorbed in political issues in Rivers State to engage significantly with the media.
Fatade shared this perspective during an interview on Channels Television, responding to Wike’s recent media appearance. He pointed out that Wike is under considerable pressure from his successor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, which should be his main focus right now.
“I believe he has more pressing matters to tackle. Fubara is putting significant pressure on him in Rivers. This should take precedence over media discussions,” Fatade stated.
He elaborated that the ongoing political strife in Rivers State requires Wike’s full attention, leaving him scant opportunity for lengthy media interactions. Fatade highlighted that the competition for power and influence in the state has escalated, making the situation in Rivers more urgent compared to public media dialogues.
The analyst emphasized that the political dynamics in Rivers State are constantly changing and delicate, necessitating strategic attention over public commentary. He asserted that the challenges stemming from the conflict between Wike and Fubara are substantial enough to eclipse media engagements for the time being.
