Nyesom Wike: This Is My First Time Of Seeing A Certificate Of Expulsion- Atiku’s Aide
Abdul Rasheeth, media adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, reacted on his official X account on December 2, 2025, after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) issued an official Certificate of Expulsion to Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
According to reports, the PDP released the certificate after formally removing Wike and several others from the party. The document, which circulated widely online, stated clearly that Wike no longer holds membership in the party. It emphasized that the expulsion followed allegations that he violated specific provisions of the PDP constitution, including Article 10(6) and Section 33(1). The certificate noted that the decision was reached unanimously by the party’s delegates.
The wording on the certificate read that Nyesom Wike, who had previously been a member of the PDP, was expelled after being found in breach of the party’s constitutional guidelines, and that this decision was adopted without dissent.
Rasheeth, reacting to the emergence of the certificate on social media, expressed surprise at its format and existence. In his post on X, he remarked that he had never before seen an official document referred to as a “Certificate of Expulsion.” His reaction added to the ongoing public conversation surrounding the internal crisis and disciplinary measures within the PDP, particularly involving Wike, who has remained a high-profile and controversial figure since joining the federal cabinet.
His brief comment, “This is my first time of seeing a Certificate of Expulsion,” captured the unusual nature of the document and underscored the novelty of the PDP’s approach in publicizing its disciplinary action.
