Woman who accused Jay-Z of r+pe admits allegations were false, says she never met or spoke to him

A woman who accused American rapper Jay-Z of s+xual a§§ault has withdrawn her allegations, saying she never met or spoke to the billionaire musician and that her claims against him were false.

In a 12 page declaration filed in Manhattan federal court, the woman stated, “Shawn Jay-Z Carter never r@ped me. I have never met or spoken to Mr. Carter. Mr. Carter never engaged in any inappropriate conduct toward me whatsoever.”

“There is no truth to any of my claims against Mr. Carter,” she added under penalty of perjury, acknowledging that her accusations caused Carter “immense p+in, s¥ffering, and d@mage.”

Her new lawyer, James Blair Newman Jr., said the woman maintains that she was a victim of s+xual a§§ault but was entirely mistaken in identifying Carter.

“Mr. Carter did not r@pe her, s+xually a§§ault her, engage in any inappropriate conduct towards her, and she has never met him. She sincerely and unconditionally apologizes to Mr. Carter and his family,” Newman said.

The declaration was filed alongside notice that Carter was voluntarily dismissing the woman as a defendant in his ongoing malicious-prosecution lawsuit against lawyer Tony Buzbee and his Texas based law firm.

The woman said her case began after she responded to a Facebook advert seeking people with s+xual-a§§ault claims against Sean Diddy Combs. She alleged that her initial lawsuit was filed without her knowledge and that she later began doubting her claims.

“In January 2025, I began to doubt my claims against Mr. Carter. I also began doubting that I ever went to a party with celebrities,” she wrote.

Buzbee said he had not seen the new declaration but claimed the woman had previously given the same account to multiple lawyers.

Carter had vehemently denied the allegations and accused Buzbee and his firm of attempting to pressure him into a financial settlement.
