Our Calling as Nigerians Is To Be Spiritual Revivalist. We Not Made to Be Building Engines Like The Chinese — Apostle Arome Osayi

 

Apostle Arome Osayi has said Nigeria’s purpose as a nation goes beyond its economic and political struggles, insisting that the country has a spiritual calling to spark revival and spread the gospel to other nations.

Speaking in a sermon, Osayi said Nigerians should not compare themselves with countries such as China by simply pointing out their achievements in manufacturing while reducing Nigeria’s activities to prayer, because nations have callings.

“Our calling as a nation is revival. God wants to generate something from here that He will export to the nations of the world. This is His covenant with this nation,” he said.

He further claimed that Nigeria’s early Christian leaders interceded and sought God over the nation’s purpose, leading to what he described as a revelation that Nigeria would provide missionary manpower to help spread the gospel globally.

He said, “We are a key player,we are a stakeholder in end time matters.”

Osayi also attributed some of Nigeria’s challenges to what he described as spiritual opposition, saying Nigerians are often too focused on issues such as the naira and political power to recognise what he considers the nation’s larger spiritual assignment.

“We are not seeing beyond the Naira, we are not seeing beyond Aso Rock,” he said, adding that Nigerians should understand the significance of the present times.

Addressing ministers, he said their current assignments could be preparation for greater responsibilities, noting, “He is using the ground to mature you so that He can send you to the place where you will manifest the strength of your sceptre.”

He concluded with a call for determination, asking his audience to declare “We will not retreat! We will not surrender!”
