If women were put in charge of government in every country in the world for two years, I strongly believe things would be better — Former U.S. President Barack Obama

Former US President Barack Obama has shared his thoughts on what could happen if women were given leadership of every government around the world for two years.

Speaking about the importance of giving younger voices and new generations of leaders a platform, Obama recalled that even during his presidency, he sometimes imagined what the world would look like under female leadership.

“Even when I was President, I sometimes fantasized about if you put women in charge of every government for like two years, and then just kind of saw, ‘All right, how are things going?’” he said.

According to Obama, such a system would not necessarily produce a perfect world, but he believes there could be noticeable improvements.

“I have a strong belief that things wouldn’t they wouldn’t be perfect, but they’d be they’d be better. I’m confident about that. I really do,” he added.
