Crowd Gathers at Port Harcourt Central Mosque as Kwankwaso Observes Jumu’at Prayers in Rivers


A large crowd gathered at the Port Harcourt Central Mosque in Rivers State on Friday as former Kano State Governor and former Defence Minister, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, joined Muslim faithful for the Jumu’at prayers.


The visit was shared by Saifullahi Hassan, the media aide to Senator Kwankwaso, on his official Instagram account, on Friday, 4th September, 2026. The photographs showed Kwankwaso at the mosque, where he observed the Friday congregational prayers alongside other worshippers. His presence attracted the attention of worshippers and residents who gathered at the mosque to welcome him.


The visit also provided an opportunity for Kwankwaso to interact with members of the Muslim community before and after the prayers. The gathering highlighted Kwankwaso’s engagement with Muslim faithful during his visit to Port Harcourt, Rivers State.


Kwankwaso’s appearance at the Port Harcourt Central Mosque drew a warm reception from members of the Muslim community, as he joined them in observing the Jumu’at prayers and interacted with worshippers during his visit.
