Celestial Church Evangelist And Wife Found De@d After Domestic F+ght In Ogun State

A Celestial Church of Christ evangelist, Abidemi Odukoya, and his wife, Adenike, have reportedly d+ed in separate circumstances after an alleged domestic altercation at their residence in Akinode/Ibogun, Ogun State.

The incident reportedly occurred around 1am on Monday, August 25, after a disagreement between the couple allegedly turned physical. Their son reportedly alerted neighbours, who found Adenike unconscious and lying in a pool of bl%%d. Community members said there was initially no vehicle available to take her to the hospital.

A former Chairman of the Community Development Association, Adejimi Olawumi, said residents later noticed that Abidemi was missing and began searching for him. They were subsequently informed that the cleric had allegedly been hit by a vehicle in Ifo. Police reportedly took him to a hospital, where he was identified.

Abidemi’s younger sister claimed the couple had a history of disagreements. She said they had visited her around April after another f+ght, which was eventually settled at a police station. She said she advised them to be patient with each other and avoid fighting.

Adenike was reportedly buried on August 25, while Abidemi was buried on Wednesday, September 2. Footage also showed clerics performing burial rites over the evangelist’s remains.

The circumstances surrounding the de@ths remained unclear as of the time of the report. Ogun State Police Command spokesperson Opeyemi Oluborode, however, confirmed the incident.
