‘Wike Went To Anambra, Shook Obi With Both Hands And Bowed To Him Like His Lord And Saviour’ - Idris
Peter Obi’s official spokesperson and media aide, Zekeri Idris, has recalled a visit by former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike to Anambra State during Obi’s tenure as governor.
Idris said Wike, who was then serving as Minister of State for Education, visited Anambra to observe the state’s education policies and initiatives under Obi.
According to Idris, Wike showed significant respect to Obi during the visit, including shaking his hands with both hands and bowing to him.
Idris said Wike also praised Obi’s achievements in education and acknowledged that the Federal Government was learning from the policies implemented in Anambra State. He further recalled that Wike was present when Obi commissioned buses for public and private secondary schools in the state.
In his words: “He went there, with both hands shook him, bowed to him like his lord and saviour, saying, ‘What you’ve done in education, we in the federal government, as Minister of State for Education, are learning from you.’”
