Take a Second Wife if Your Wife Refuses to Mekwe With You Instead of Ch+ating; No Scripture Says Otherwise — Prophet Akinbo Shalom Tells Men

Prophet Akinbo Shalom Kelvin has sparked reactions after advising married men whose wives continually deny them intimacy not to secretly ch+at but to consider taking a second wife.

Speaking during a sermon, the cleric faulted the popular advice that husbands must spend the entire day preparing their wives before expecting intimacy at night.

“I heard a pastor said, ‘If you want s+x, if you want intimacy with your wife at night, start preparing your wife from the morning.’ You see, these are the kinds of things some churches teach, because some pastors are simply confused about marriage. They’re confused about intimacy in marriage,” he said.

He questioned why a man should have to beg, negotiate and plead for intimacy from his wife after marriage, arguing that such expectations were different during courtship.

According to him, marriage should involve “mutual understanding, mutual communication, mutual affection, and responsibility from both husband and wife.”

The prophet, however, advised men against secretly ch+ating, urging them to first communicate with their wives and seek counselling where necessary.

“If your wife continually denies you, don’t secretly ch+at. Talk to her, find out what’s wrong, seek counseling where necessary. But if the problem continues, and you genuinely believe scripture permits it, then discuss the possibility of taking a second wife openly, rather than destroying marriage through adultery,” he said.

He further insisted that a man could “take a second wife” after discussing it with his spouse if the denial of intimacy persisted.

“There is no scripture that says that you cannot take a second wife. Show me one scripture,” he declared, adding that teaching such in churches would make women “stop all those nonsenses.”
