Sowore Reacts As Tinubu Tells Adeleke During Phone Call That He Has Ordered EFCC To Unfreeze Account

Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore has taken to his official X account on Thursday, August 6, 2026 to react after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ordered EFCC to vacate the court order concerning the account of Osun state government.

This came after Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy said the President has called the governor of Osun state, Ademola Adeleke and informed him about the directive.

According to Bayo Onanuga on his official X account;

“President Tinubu in a phone conversation with Governor Ademola Adeleke on Thursday, informed him about his directive to the EFCC to lift the court order on the Osun state government account”.

Reacting, Omoyele Sowore stated that the EFCC has become a tool in the hands of the people in power.
