2027: Primate Ayodele Warns, ‘Don’t Underestimate Peter Obi, He Will Pull Significant Votes’

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned political parties and candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections not to underestimate the influence of former Anambra State Governor and presidential hopeful, Peter Obi.

Ayodele said Obi remains a political force capable of attracting a significant number of votes in the next presidential election.

The cleric, who has been making predictions about the 2027 political landscape, stressed that dismissing Obi’s influence could have serious consequences for other presidential contenders.

According to him, Obi may not necessarily emerge as the winner of the election, but his presence in the race could affect the distribution of votes and alter the chances of other candidates.

“Don’t underestimate Peter Obi. He will destroy many votes,” Ayodele was quoted as saying.

The cleric’s comment comes amid growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with several political parties and politicians positioning themselves for the contest.

Obi, who previously contested the 2023 presidential election under the Labour Party, has since moved into a new political platform as part of efforts to build a stronger political structure ahead of 2027.

Ayodele urged political actors to pay close attention to the former Anambra governor rather than dismissing his political strength.

He also suggested that the 2027 election could be highly competitive, with the emergence of multiple strong candidates potentially leading to a significant split in the electorate.
