Peter Obi Reacts As He’s Asked If He Has The Intention To Forgive His Ex Spokesman, Kenneth Okonkwo

Peter Obi, the previous governor of Anambra State and the presidential hopeful for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has stated that he holds no personal resentment towards his former spokesperson, Kenneth Okonkwo, even after their recent legal issues.

In a video released on Sunday, July 26, 2026, on the official YouTube channel of CHANNELS TV, Obi responded to inquiries about his willingness to reconcile with Okonkwo. His reply, which has circulated widely on the internet, implied that their dispute centers around allegations made by Okonkwo concerning having harmful information about him.

Obi noted that the legal case was not motivated by personal dislike but by worry over Okonkwo’s assertions that he had things to reveal. He clarified that his choice to pursue legal action stemmed from Okonkwo’s statements, which suggested there were significant disclosures awaiting revelation.

“I have no problems with Kenneth Okonkwo. I filed a lawsuit because he claimed he has things to announce about me. He indicated they are serious, and I’m taking him to court to discuss those matters.”

This statement has attracted attention on social media platforms, drawing various reactions regarding the renewed conflict between the two individuals. While Obi emphasized there is no personal feud, the lawsuit has put their previously friendly political connection under new public examination
