Man arrested and arraigned for Having S+xual Relationship With His 14-yr-Old Daughter in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has arraigned Ikenna Mojekwu before the Gender Magistrate Court sitting in Awka over allegations of engaging in a s+xual relationship with his 14-year-old daughter.

The alleged incident reportedly occurred in Aguluzoigbo, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. Police spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said in a statement issued on July 15, 2026, that three suspects were arraigned before the Gender Magistrate Court in Awka after investigations into separate alleged s+xual offences were concluded.

According to him, the suspects are facing charges related to alleged defilement, r@pe and other s£xual offences as part of the command’s efforts to protect vulnerable persons and ensure justice for victims of gender-based violence.

“The suspects were arraigned on separate charges bordering on alleged incest, defilement, and r@pe following the conclusion of Police investigations.

Among them is Ikenna Mojekwu, who is facing charges of alleged incest after he reportedly engaged in unlawful s£xual acts with his 14-year-old daughter in Aguluzoigbo.

Also arraigned was Chibuike Ikemelu, who allegedly had unlawful s£xual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl, resulting in pregnancy in Abatete.

The third suspect, 16-year-old Chukwuma Emenike, was arraigned over allegations of def!ling a 8-year-old woman in Umuoji.”

The court remanded the suspects after they were arraigned, following the conclusion of police investigations, and adjourned the cases to later dates for further hearing.

The command reaffirmed its commitment to thoroughly investigating and prosecuting cases of s£xual and gender-based violence, urging victims and members of the public to report such offences promptly, while assuring that “every report will be treated with the seriousness it deserves” and due process will be followed.
