Husband on the run after allegedly b+ating his wife, a mother of three, to d+ath for visiting her late friend’s husband in Delta State

A tragic incident has sparked outrage in Delta State after a woman, identified as Nora, allegedly lost her life following a v+olent altercation with her husband over claims that she visited another man.

According to reports, Nora had informed her husband, Emma, that she wanted to visit Cyril, the husband of her late friend, Jennifer, who reportedly d+ed during childbirth.

Nora’s sister claimed in an audio statement that, “My sister come tell her husband say, ‘One of my friends, Cyril, that guy wey do photographer for our marriage, him wife d+e through operation. I wan go see am.’ Him come say, ‘Okay.’”

She said Nora later went to visit Cyril alongside another sister before returning home in the evening. However, her husband allegedly became f¥riius, accusing her of seeing another man despite her explanation.

“But I tell you say I wan go visit, greet my friend wey him wife die. Na me and my sister go,” she was said to have told him.

The narrator alleged that Emma att@cked Nora with an iron object, chased her outside their home and continued the a§§ault in the presence of their three children, aged 8, 5 and 1.

“Na him use iron wh+p my sister. She fall inside the swamp water. Na her husband waka leave her body like that,” the relative claimed.

According to the account, Emma allegedly returned about two hours later, found Nora lying motionless, then raised the alarm.

Reports say Nora was confirmed d+ad, while Emma has allegedly fled and is currently on the run. 

Authorities are yet to officially comment on the incident.
