Benue Pastor D+es Days After Release, due to B£atings and Inj¥ries Sustained in Kidn@ppers’ den

Rev. Samuel Gbinde, Senior Pastor of the Universal Reformed Christian Church (NKST), Andyar Ishan Classis, Saghev Council Ward in Guma LGA of Benue State, has d+ed days after being released by kidn&ppers.

The cleric was abd¥cted about two weeks ago alongside two church members. They were later freed after a ransom was reportedly paid, but Rev. Gbinde allegedly succumbed to inj¥ries sustained during captivity.

A church member said the pastor was severely b£aten and tortured while in the kidn@ppers’ custody. After his release, he was rushed to the NKST mission hospital in Gboko in critical condition and later transferred to Makurdi for further treatment, but d+ed a few days later despite medical efforts.

Reacting, Dr. Eunice Ortom, PDP candidate for Benue North-West Senatorial District in the 2027 elections, described the cleric’s d+ath as a huge loss to the church, Guma LGA and Benue State, noting that he was a devoted servant of God known for his compassion and commitment to his community.
