NDLEA Busts 35-Year-Old Man With 1,989 Military-Grade Amm¥nition Hidden in White Garri Bags in Kaduna

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted 1,989 rounds of RLA 7.62mm military-grade amm¥nition concealed inside bags of white garri along the Abuja-Kaduna highway in Kaduna State.

“A suspect, 35-year-old Abdullahi Hassan was caught conveying the 1,989 rounds of RLA 7.62mm concealed in fresh white cassava granules locally known as garri. Both the suspect and exhibit have since been transferred to another security agency for further investigation.”

The amm¥nition was discovered during a patrol operation on Tuesday, May 12, leading to the arrest of a 35-year-old suspect identified as Abdullahi Hassan.

NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, confirmed that the suspect and the recovered amm¥nition have been handed over to another security agency for further investigation.
