Call your parents while you still can even if they are us£less — Actor Buchi Franklin gets emotional over losing his mum


Nollywood actor Buchi Franklin has shared an emotional message about grief, love, and the importance of appreciating parents while they are still alive.


Speaking in a heartfelt moment during an interview, the actor revealed that losing someone close made him truly understand the meaning of love and p@in.


“My mom raised me right,” he said before opening up about his personal loss.


According to him, grief is proof that genuine love existed.


“I’ve come to understand that grief is a sign that you really did understand the meaning of love. So, you must lose someone before you know you can love,” he said.


Buchi further revealed that he lost the most important person in his life, a loss that deeply changed his perspective.


“The most important person in my life… I lost that person,” he added emotionally.


The actor then advised people to make out time for their parents regardless of how busy life gets or the nature of their relationship with them.


“My advice to everybody that has a parent, whether your parent is useless or not, find time, reach out to them,” he said.


He also encouraged people to celebrate their parents in simple ways, even if they cannot afford lavish gestures.


“Call them, make them laugh, because a time will come when you will wish you had the opportunity to just play with them again,” he added.
