We can see that things are getting better in Nigeria and this current administration has the blueprint to get us out of this mess — Media Personality Doja Allen
In a recent interview, Doja Allen spoke candidly about her concerns for Nigeria while expressing cautious optimism about the country’s future.
When asked if she worries about the nation, Allen admitted, “Sometimes I do. I do.” She elaborated on what keeps her awake at night: “I worry about a lot. I worry about the economy. I worry about safety, safety I worry about. Security. You know, I worry about where is this nation truly going?”
Despite these concerns, she sees a positive trajectory. “But there’s actually light now. We can see that things are getting better and things will get better if this administration continues. You know, initially, you know, it wasn’t sure or clear where we were going to. We were going. When APC got into power, but it’s clear now that it looks like they have the blueprint on how to get us out of the m+ss.”
Asked what gives her the most hope, Allen pointed to Nigeria’s currency rate. “The only, well, I won’t say the only one, but my favorite is the dollar rate,” she said. “So when I see it going up, just, you know, move up drastically. It’s gotten to 1,600 or whatever before. And now we’re at what? About 1,300. And the fact that they’ve been able to bring it down, I never thought they could ever get the dollar down. And I’m hearing speculations that it could get to a thousand naira. Will it last, though? I mean, looking at global events. You know that it would be a bit too premature to judge with the current, you know what, we’re speaking on this podcast now with the w+r. So that might not be a good basis.”
