According to a report by Daily Post, on Saturday April 25, 2026, former Minister of Transportation and ADC chieftain, Rotimi Amaechi, has stated that his political disagreements have not been limited to one administration, but have followed a consistent pattern of expressing dissent when he disagrees with leadership decisions.
Speaking on his political experience, Amaechi explained that he has never hesitated to state his position when he is not aligned with certain government policies or political directions, he said his disagreements are based on principles and policy choices rather than personal interests.
He recalled his time in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, saying he openly disagreed with some of the policies being pursued during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, according to him, those differences were part of the political tension he experienced while in the party at that time.
Amaechi referenced events within the All Progressives Congress, APC, saying his pattern of speaking out continued even after he left the PDP, he stated that on the very day President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged as the party’s presidential candidate, he expressed his disagreement with the outcome.
He noted that his position was communicated directly, stressing that he does not keep silent when he has a strong view against political decisions, even when they involve leading figures or major party decisions.
“Just like i don’t agree with Jonathan policies, the first day Tinubu won primaries, I told him that I don’t agree with him," he said.
