My 33yr-Old Husband Who Went To Play Basketball Just Fell & Died; We Were Planning To Go Out

 

Stella Damasus, a veteran Nollywood actress, has spoken about the painful loss of her first husband, Jaiye Aboderin.

In an interview with Nollywood actor Temisan Emmanuel on Tea With Tay podcast, Damasus stated that Jaiye, who was 33 years old, went out to play basketball but suddenly collapsed and died

Damasus said she and Jaiye had already made plans to hang out with friends on the evening of the day he died. She said his sudden death made her begin to see life in a completely different way

In Damasus’ words: “I did not understand, there was no explanation for it. How can a 33-year-old man who went to play basketball just fall down and die. How? We were planning to go out that evening with our friends. So I just started thinking about life in a different way. I think that was the turning point in my life”
