2027: APC Denies Fixing Price For Nomination Forms

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports circulating online about the alleged prices of expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 general elections, describing the claims as false and misleading.

Orange reports that the party made the clarification in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

According to the ruling party, it has not taken any decision regarding the sale or pricing of nomination forms for the 2027 elections.

The APC said the information being circulated did not originate from the party.

“The report is FAKE and did not emanate from the Party,” the statement said.

“To be clear, no decision or announcement has been made on the sale or pricing of forms for the 2027 elections. The report is a mere figment of the writer’s mischievous imagination.”

The party urged its members, the media, and the general public to disregard the report and avoid spreading unverified information.

According to the APC, the claims appear to have gained traction on social media platforms, where unconfirmed details about the supposed prices of nomination forms have been widely shared.

The clarification follows widespread online speculation that the APC had fixed ₦200 million as the price for presidential nomination forms ahead of the 2027 elections.

However, the ruling party insisted that no official pricing has been announced for any of its nomination forms at this time.

The APC advised party supporters and stakeholders to rely only on official communications from the party for accurate information regarding future electoral preparations.
