Tinubu: I’ve Never Seen A President Come Down To The Floor To Sit With His People - Senator Akpabio

Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President and former governor of Akwa Ibom State has praised the humility and resilience of president Tinubu during a recent meeting at the banquet hall in the presidential villa, Abuja. According to his statements which were shared by ViableTv, he pointed out that the humility displayed by the president was extraordinary.

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday February 26th 2026, during a high profile meeting at the presidential villa, Abuja left many stunned after he displayed a high level of humility, an act which impressed Senator Godswill Akpabio.

The meeting, which had several dignitaries in attendance, including Senators of the federal republic and prominent members of president Tinubu’s cabinet had caught public attention after the footages surfaced online.

Senator Godswill Akpabio, while addressing the audience, pointed out that he had never seen a president as humble as president Tinubu as his disregard for the high table set for him was a testament to his humility.

According to his statements which were shared by ViableTv, he also disclosed that the president’s action was a great sign that he was a man of the people.

“...I have never seen a president come down to the floor to sit with his people, there is always a high table there behind me. But this evening when we came, we saw that your sit is among the people, anybody passing here will not know who is the president and who is a Senator, this is a great sign that you are a man of the people.” He said.
