The New IGP Who People Said Have Sense, You Allowed Fakorede Mess Up Your First 48hr In Office-Sowore
Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate of the AAC, has criticized the newly appointed Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, after businesswoman Tracy Ohiri collapsed in court and was rushed to the hospital
In a video Omoyele Sowore shared on his verified Facebook account, he said the new IGP, whom many people believe is intelligent, allowed Akin Fakorede to “mess up” his first 48 hours in office. He stated that Fakorede, the Commissioner of Police in charge of the IGP Monitoring Unit, attempted to block the bail of Tracy Ohiri and obstruct justice in her case.
The case involves a debt dispute between Ohiri and the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi. Ohiri was arrested and arraigned in court after she claimed that Umahi owed her N250 million for promotional materials she supplied during his 2014 governorship campaign.
In Sowore’s words: “The new IGP who everybody thinks has sense, look at what you are doing, you allowed Fakorede to mess up your first 48 hours in office”
