Comrade Alaye Tari Theophilus, the leader of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) has expressed strong support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara, praising him as a genuine representative of the Ijaw people.
In an interview on SYMFONI TV, Comrade Alaye Tari highlighted the governor’s independence and respected status within Rivers State. “He is not a second class citizen here in Rivers State. He’s not a slave to any person but he is a true Ijaw blood,” he stated, underscoring Governor Fubara’s deep connection to the people he serves.
The remarks come amid ongoing conversations about local leadership and ethnic representation in the Niger Delta. By emphasizing the governor’s authenticity, the IYC leader sought to reinforce public confidence in Fubara’s administration and his ability to prioritize the welfare of Rivers State residents without external pressures.
