U.S. President Trump Warns of Possible Air Str+kes in Nigeria

 

U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday escalated rhetoric over v+olence in Nigeria, saying he has asked the Pentagon to prepare plans for possible military action including the prospect of troops on the ground or air str+kes if the Nigerian government does not stop what he described as the mass k+lling of Christians.  

Speaking to reporters while returning to Washington, Mr. Trump said several military options were being considered. “Could be. I mean, other things. I envisage a lot of things,” he said when asked whether he pictured ground forces or air str+kes, adding that the U.S. would not “allow” large-scale k+llings to continue.
