G¥nmen Att@ck Kogi Church, Abd¥ct Pastor, Wife And Others

Gunmen stormed a Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Ejiba, Yagba West LGA of Kogi State during Sunday service, abd¥cting the pastor, known as Orlando, his wife, and several other worshippers. The sudden att@ck threw the community into panic as members fled amid heavy g¥nfire.

Residents described the incident as shocking and frightening, noting that the b@ndits arrived unexpectedly and disrupted the service. The exact number of k+dn@pped victims remains unclear.

In response, the Kogi State Government said it has intensified surveillance and launched a manhunt for the att@ckers. Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo, said security agencies and the Yagba West Local Government authorities are working to ensure the safe rescue of all abd¥cted persons.

He added that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is directly coordinating security operations and urged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity.Fanwo also advised worship centres located in isolated or high-risk areas to rethink holding services there until security improves.
