Ayodele: I Went To Abuja To Tell The Chief Security Adviser That Something Will Happen In Six Months
In a recent video released on Friday, November 21, 2025, Primate Elijah Ayodele voiced serious concerns about the escalating insecurity and the surge of killings throughout the nation. He labeled the situation a national emergency requiring prompt and effective responses from all security agencies.
Ayodele noted, “I visited Abuja to inform the Chief Security Adviser that an incident will occur in six months,” explaining that he had previously alerted high-ranking officials about an impending security crisis but was overlooked. He asserted that the current situation is precisely what he had predicted, highlighting the government’s failure to heed prior warnings.
During his visit, the cleric warned that without urgent action, banditry, terrorism, and targeted assaults would escalate. He expressed sorrow over the recent deaths of civilians, military members, and security forces, indicating that the existing system is both strained and unprepared.
He argued that Nigeria requires a complete reform of its security framework. Ayodele advised the government to embrace modern intelligence methodologies, strengthen local security networks, and utilize advanced surveillance technologies in at-risk areas. He urged officials to take prophetic warnings seriously, pointing out that many tragedies could have been averted with timely intervention.
Additionally, he called on security agencies to work with integrity, solidarity, and renewed dedication, cautioning that internal sabotage and political meddling will exacerbate the situation.
Ayodele wrapped up by urging the presidency to take urgent action, stating that the current state of affairs can no longer be ignored. He warned that if immediate reforms are not enacted, Nigeria may face even greater security crises in the near future.
