Tiwa Savage Breaks Silence on Feud with Seyi Shay, Addresses Viral Salon Clash

Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has finally spoken in detail about her long-running feud with fellow singer Seyi Shay, shedding light on the infamous salon confrontation that went viral years ago.

Speaking on the Off Air with Gbemi O and Toolz podcast released on Saturday, the “Somebody’s Son” hitmaker revealed that the rift stemmed from a d+ss track and rumours claiming she tried to block opportunities for other female artistes, including Seyi Shay and Victoria Kimani.

Tiwa firmly denied the allegations, emphasizing her commitment to supporting women in the music industry.

“If you do something to me, I’ll tell you directly—not online. I’m not going to pretend we’re cool when you did a whole d+ss track about me,” she said.

The singer admitted that the accusations deeply affected her, as she had no idea where they originated from.

“That was p+inful, and I didn’t know where it was coming from. Till today, maybe I need to have a conversation with Shay,” Tiwa added.

Her remarks mark one of the first times the award-winning artiste has publicly addressed the misunderstandings and tension that defined one of the most talked-about celebrity feuds in Nigeria’s entertainment scene.
