Singer Katy Perry and former Canadian PM Justin Trudeau spark dating rumours after being spotted together on a yacht in California.

Pop superstar Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have once again fueled romance rumours after being spotted sharing a moment aboard Perry’s private yacht in Santa Barbara, California.

The pair, both recently single, were photographed looking cozy and affectionate as they relaxed on deck. According to The Daily Mail, Perry wore a black swimsuit while a Trudeau, dressed in denim jeans, leaned in for the embrace. Witnesses said the singer’s yacht pulled up beside a public whale-watching boat.

“I didn’t realise who she was with until I noticed the tattoo on his arm — that’s when I knew it was Justin Trudeau,” an eyewitness told the outlet.

Neither Perry nor Trudeau has commented publicly on their relationship. The duo were first linked in July, when they were seen dining together in Montreal, and Trudeau later attended one of Perry’s concerts in Canada.

Their seaside rendezvous comes after both ended long-term relationships. Perry and actor Orlando Bloom, her partner of seven years and fiancé of six, announced their split in June 2025, pledging to co-parent their daughter, Daisy Dove, amicably.

Trudeau, on the other hand, revealed his separation from wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The pair share three children — Xavier (17), Ella-Grace (16), and Hadrien (11).
