“It Will Be The End of Some People” - Primate Ayodele Warns Politicians Ahead of 2027 Election

Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church (IESC) Worldwide has issued a prophetic caution to Nigerian politicians, warning that the 2027 general elections will mark the downfall of some political figures.

Speaking in a recent address, the cleric described the coming polls as a “make-or-break” moment for many aspirants. He stressed that those entering the race without proper capacity and divine backing will not only fail but may also see their political careers permanently destroyed.

“2027 election will not be bread and butter… If you try it, you will just waste your money and that will be the end of some people,” Ayodele declared.

His warning comes at a time when the political space is heating up with talks of possible presidential bids. President Bola Tinubu of the APC is said to be exploring a second term, while Labour Party’s Peter Obi remains a strong contender. In addition, a new coalition involving the ADC is reportedly in the works, with speculations that former President Goodluck Jonathan could attempt a comeback.

Ayodele emphasized that the election will be unlike previous contests, predicting intense struggles and unexpected outcomes. He noted that some politicians who believe they have strong chances will be shocked by their defeat.

The cleric, who has often been vocal about national events, urged Nigerians to pray for the country’s stability as the 2027 elections approach. He also called on politicians to weigh their ambitions carefully, warning that overconfidence and lack of preparation will end careers.
