“If Omo-Agege leaves APC for Sheriff, then shame to him. Sheriff has defeated him” - Primate Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church (IESC) Worldwide, has issued a stern political warning to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, advising him not to abandon the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Sheriff Oborevwori, the current governor of Delta State.

Speaking in a recent video shared on Facebook, the cleric cautioned that leaving the party for Sheriff would amount to political defeat and a betrayal of the trust reposed in him by his supporters. “Omo-Agege must not leave APC for Sheriff, the present governor. If he strategizes well, he will defeat him,” Ayodele declared.

The prophet accused Governor Oborevwori of attempting to take over the APC’s internal political structure for personal gains, warning that such a move would not yield lasting benefits. “Sheriff has come to steal people’s rights in APC, but it will not help him,” Ayodele stated.

He stressed that Omo-Agege, a former Deputy Senate President and 2023 governorship candidate of the APC in Delta State, still has a strong political base capable of mounting a formidable challenge if he remains steadfast and adopts the right strategy.

However, Ayodele noted that any decision to defect or back down from the contest would signal capitulation. “If Omo-Agege leaves APC for Sheriff, then shame to him. Sheriff has defeated him,” he warned.

The cleric concluded by urging Omo-Agege to remain resolute, hinting that the political tide could turn in his favor if he holds his ground and fights within the party.
