Fubara Told Us He Apologized To His Master; He Told His Supporters Not To Contest LGA Polls-Jackrich
Former Rivers State governorship candidate under the National Rescue Movement, Sobomabo Jackrich, has revealed that suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara recently contacted him and some members of his political camp. Jackrich said Fubara informed them that he had reconciled with his estranged mentor, Nyesom Wike, and urged his supporters to embrace the reconciliation process.
During an interview with AIT, Jackrich explained that Fubara appealed to his allies not to contest in the upcoming local government polls, stressing that such a step was necessary to reduce political tension and promote harmony.
According to Jackrich, the governor made it clear that his apology to Wike was a deliberate peace gesture, adding that pressing ahead with the elections could have led to chaos and unrest. He noted that although some individuals might not fully grasp Fubara’s decision, the advice for his supporters to step down from the contest was a calculated move to avert another round of crisis in the state.
