I Don’t Have Any Personal Problems With Peter Obi, But Don’t Bring An Aba-Made Product-Asari Dokubo
In a video posted on Facebook, Asari Dokubo, a prominent figure from the Kalabari ethnic group, clarified that he harbors no personal animosity toward Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
However, he expressed strong reservations about Obi’s suitability for national leadership, asserting that if Nigerians are to rally behind a presidential candidate, it should not be someone he described dismissively as an Aba-made product.
(Aba-Made: is something that lacks good qualities).
Dokubo went on to draw a comparison with China, highlighting that virtually every city in the country hosts a factory and produces essential goods. He questioned why Nigerians would consider supporting Peter Obi, who, according to him, served as governor of Anambra State for eight years without leaving any significant achievements or developmental legacy.
According to him, “I’m not going to dwell on a product like Peter Obi, a fake product that you people want to present. It’s not anything goes. Everywhere in China, there’s a factory; everything you want to buy, you go to a factory. Everything is produced in China. I don’t have any personal problems with Peter Obi, but don’t bring an Aba-made product.”
