Wike’s Utterances Likely Fueled by 40-Year-Old Whiskey - Atiku
According to Vanguard. An attack on Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike by former vice president Atiku Abubakar has caused a political storm. According to a statement that Atiku made and that was cited by Orange through Vanguard, Wike’s recent angry outbursts might have been caused by drink instead of reason or patriotism.
“Wike’s utterances are likely fueled by a bottle of 40-year-old whiskey,”
Reacting to Wike’s most recent barrage of attacks directed at him and the PDP, Atiku allegedly made the statement through one of his media aides. Both proponents and detractors of the message have taken to social media to voice their opinions.
While some have criticised Atiku’s remark as lacking in statesmanship, others have lauded it as a daring response to what they perceive as Wike’s persistent prodding.
The PDP and Atiku’s leadership have come under heavy criticism from Wike in the months after the party’s loss in the 2023 general elections. Wike is famous for his passionate speeches and unfiltered political commentary.
The growing animosity between the two ex-allies, according to political watchers, is indicative of the PDP’s continued internal strife and makes one wonder whether the party would be able to recover in time for the next elections.
