Reactions as Wike Shares the Architectural Design of the Proposed New INEC Headquarters Building

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, shared a Facebook post unveiling the prototype design for the new national headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

His post read, “This is the prototype of the new INEC HQ. We are flagging off the construction today.”

The minister’s post has sparked reactions across social media platforms, particularly in the comment section of his Facebook page.

The announcement coincided with the commissioning of the Mabushi Bus Terminal, planned by the minister for the day.

Earlier on Tuesday, Wike posted on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating: “Today is for the commissioning of the Mabushi Bus Terminal. We will also flag off the construction of the new INEC HQ. We are eagerly waiting to welcome Mr. President.”

The INEC headquarters project, according to close sources within the FCT Administration, is expected to reflect modern architectural standards and serve as a secure and efficient hub for the nation’s electoral operations.
