Pastor Adeboye to Lead National Prayers for Economic Revival
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), is set to lead a nationwide prayer session aimed at seeking divine intervention for Nigeria’s struggling economy.
The initiative was announced on Friday, June 28, during a press conference in Lagos. Represented by his Special Assistant on Administration, Pastor Dele Balogun, Adeboye revealed that the church’s upcoming July 2025 thanksgiving service—tagged “Divine Intervention”—will focus on prayers for economic recovery and national progress.
The event is scheduled to take place at the RCCG national headquarters in Oyingbo, Lagos.
This spiritual move comes as Nigerians continue to face severe economic challenges, including rising inflation, unemployment, and high living costs. Pastor Adeboye noted that while the nation is going through a tough season, faith, unity, and positive declarations can spark transformation.
“Our country—and indeed many others—are in difficult times, but these challenges are not beyond God’s power. With unwavering faith, we can overcome,” he said.
He urged citizens to reject pessimism and embrace hopeful, faith-driven speech to help foster both personal and national renewal.
In addition, the RCCG has commissioned a special prayer team to intercede on key national issues throughout the second half of the year, including matters related to agriculture, the environment, and climate change.
